Kim McLaughlin, M.Ed, LPC

Kim is a Licensed Professional Counselor with fifteen years’ experience working with children, adolescents and their families.  She has done home based and school based counseling, crisis intervention work and groups for children affected by divorce and separation.  Kim provided supervision to Counselors in Training in the state of Missouri and has also worked with the LGBTQ+ community.  Prior to obtaining her Master’s Degree, Kim worked with adults with disabilities for several years.

Kim is passionate about helping kids learn to understand and express their emotions.  She is dedicated to serving individuals by guiding them towards a better understanding of self and family.  She exhibits empathy, patience and an insightful interest in others.  She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strength Based Counseling to help clients utilize their inner resources to achieve positive changes in their lives.  Kim sees clients with Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity, as well as families dealing with divorce and separation.

Kim received her Master’s in Education Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
